Reston, VA — John Marshall Bank is pleased to announce Shalini J. Kapur as their new Vice President, Treasury Sales and Service Manager. Shalini has over a dozen years of experience in banking within Northern Virginia, with a targeted focus on branch operations and management. Before joining John Marshall Bank, Shalini was Vice President, Branch Manager of United Bank (formerly Cardinal Bank). AS VP, Shalini oversaw the day-to-day operations and established business networking and community service relationships to promote the Bank within the local market.
Shalini graduated from Jesus and Mary College in New Delhi, India with a B.S. in Commerce. She is currently part of the Virginia Banker’s Association School of Bank Management’s Class of 2020. Shalini’s career in banking began in customer service, where her exceptional performance was awarded by continual promotions to higher-level positions. Shalini has served in leadership positions within local financial institutions including BB&T and Virginia Commerce Bank before its acquisition by United Bank.

Shalini serves on the Board of several local community organizations. She is currently a Director on the Board of Gabriel Homes Inc. and was the former Director of the Youth Orchestra of Prince William. Shalini is also involved in a number of networking organizations including the Prince William Business Connections, the Haymarket Gainesville Business Association and the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.
